The Accessible Information Standard is a legal requirement implemented across the NHS from July 31, 2016. It requires the CCG to make sure that the public, patients and service users who have information or communication needs relating to a disability, impairment or sensory loss receive support in accessing information they need. This will provide independence to make decisions about health, care and treatment.
What does this mean?
The CCG wants to improve the way in which we communicate. If you need support in reading, receiving and understanding the information the CCG needs to share with you during your care and treatment, please let us know. For example:
Please take the time to tell us about your good experiences with our services. We need to capture this information in order to ensure good practice stays in place.Should you have a complaint or compliment that you wish the CCG to take forward please contact us using the above details.
We look forward to hearing from you.
