From September 2018, Guildford and Waverley, North West Surrey and Surrey Downs Clinical Commissioning Groups will be holding their Governing Body meetings ‘in common’. This means that the three Governing Body meetings will take place at the same time, in the same location, with the same or similar agendas.
Meeting in this way reflects closer working across the three CCGs and will help to align our governance arrangements and streamline decision-making. All three CCGs will have their own Governing Body membership and each CCG will make its own decisions to reflect that they are still three separate statutory organisations. We will rotate the venues for these meetings so we hold them in different locations across the three CCG areas and anyone who is interested in hearing about local health issues is very welcome to join us.
Governing Bodies in Common meeting – 25th March 2020Due to the current situation relating to coronavirus (Covid-19) and Government advice about social distancing, the Governing Bodies in Common meeting on 25th March will now be taking place virtually via teleconference. Unfortunately this means it is not possible to give members of the public access to the meeting. In addition, because of leadership capacity in managing the current Covid-19 outbreak, the agenda will be short, focused primarily on our ongoing response to the current situation.
We will post an update here as soon as a decision has been made.
Members of the public are welcome to attend and observe meetings of the Governing Body - which although being held in public are not public meetings. Questions from the public are welcome and should be emailed to the Governance Team in advance of the meeting: email@example.com
For information about patient group meetings please see the Get Involved pages.
The CCG has assumed responsibility for aspects of general practice commissioning from NHS England on 1 April 2018. The Primary Care Commissioning Committee (PCCC) is responsible for this delegated responsibility.
Meetings are open to the public so you are more than welcome to come along and find out more about this area of work. Dates of meetings and associated papers will be available on this website and published five days in advance of each committee meeting.
From September 2018, Guildford and Waverley, North West Surrey and Surrey Downs Clinical Commissioning Groups have been holding their PCCC meetings ‘in common’. This means that the three PCCC meetings will take place at the same time, in the same location, with the same or similar agendas. Surrey Downs joined the full delegated remit of the committee from April 2019 following a successful primary care delegated commissioning membership vote.

The agenda and committee papers will be published on this site one week before the meeting date.
The six Surrey CCGs have each established a Surrey-wide Commissioning Committee that will meet ‘in common’ with a Commissioning Committee established by Surrey County Council. This is referred to as the ‘Surrey-wide Commissioning Committees in Common’.
The Committees exercise oversight for health and social care commissioning across Surrey including any responsibilities delegated to it from local and national partners. The Committees will be outcomes led, taking into account best clinical & social care practice and the views of the citizens of Surrey. The minutes of the meetings shall be formally recorded and submitted to the Governing Bodies and Surrey County Council Cabinet.
Members of the public are welcome to attend and observe the meeting - which although is held in public, is not a public meeting. Questions from the public are welcome and should be emailed to the Governance Team in advance of the meeting: firstname.lastname@example.org
